Schizophrenia Fellowship 25th anniversary

2010 is the 25th anniversary of the Schizophrenia Fellowship of NSW.

This milestone is being celebrated with special events and the launch of new publications, including:

From Seed to Sunflower: A History of the Schizophrenia Fellowship of NSW

From Seed to Sunflower: A History of the Schizophrenia Fellowship of NSW 1985-2010

This 84-page book outlines the strains, stresses and successes of a non-government organisation which has grown from a small committed group, founded in 1985, fitting in voluntary service in spare moments, to a statewide organisation with over 200 staff and 450 volunteers providing a wide range of professional services, often in partnership with local communities. It charts government policy towards the mental health sector over the past 25 years, and the changes in media representation and community understanding of people with mental illnesses. $20 plus postage and handling. Click here for an order form or contact Pam Bruce on (02) 9879 2600 or pam@carerassist.org.au to order a copy.
