OFFICIAL OPENING OF OUR NEW WING

By Jo Woods

Friday 30th of July saw the long awaited, much appreciated, much anticipated opening of the new wing of pioneer Clubhouse.

The event was well attended by past and present members, community leaders and supporters of Clubhouse.

The event was catered for by the clubhouse kitchen team of staff and members with a very tasty selection of morsels enjoyed by all who were present. We are looking forward to being able to make good use of this new facility and now look forward to stage II of the project renovation of the old wind.

Members’ Voice - “Building Opening”

By Jane H

It has been a 10 year wait for this building to be completed. It has seen many ups and downs, people have come and gone. Situations have changed, staff and members have changed.

I feel happy that this building has finally happened, I have many memories of people who have gone, wishing they could be here, to join in the fair.

I feel good about the building to be completed, and hope everyone feels the same.

Pollie Pedal 2010

Pollie Pedal 2010

Pollie Pedal was started in 1998 by Tony Abbott and other politicians as a way to raise money for various charities. It also provides opportunities for politicians to meet and exchange views and ideas with various communities and local organisations.

This year the Pollie Pedal bike ride will again raise money to support Pioneer Clubhouse.

How Your Donations Will Help
Donations collected in Warringah will help fund the upgrade of the Information Technology Unit available to the members of Pioneer Clubhouse.  This will allow better preparation for individuals living with a mental illness to re-enter the workforce.  The current IT facility is outdated and training on this equipment is not effective as it is not comparable to that in the workplace.

Please help to build a new Information Technology Unit for the clubhouse by making a much needed donation.  Donations of more than $2 are tax deductible.
