SAW 2008
The annual Schizophrenia Awareness Week presents an opportunity for us to engage with the broader community and inform them about mental illness. In 2008, Schizophrenia Awareness Week (18-24 May) continued to promote our vision of “A society in which people with mental illness are valued and treated as equals”. Both the Symposium and the Parliamentary Lunch saw exciting developments and movement toward more collaborative approaches within corporate, government, health and community services.
The major focus for the week was based on Mental Illness and Employment Issues and how we can raise greater community awareness to combat stigma in the workplace.
