D2DL Support for Day to Day Living in the Community Program for people living with a mental illness

D2DL Support for Day to Day Living in the Community Program

Support for Day to Day Living in the Community Program.

The Day to Day Living in the Community Program (D2DL) recognizes that people with a mental illness are often faced with significant challenges when reconnecting to their social and community networks both during and after recovery.

The D2DL Program offers a friendly and positive environment in which those with a mental illness can engage in their choice of "drop in" facilities and support; or activities and groups that encourage socialisation, development of useful life skills, and educational and supportive groups. Staffs at D2DL sites encourage active participation of members in activities and groups and encourage engagement of those who "drop in".

Activities run through some of our many sites include:

  • Arts and Crafts
  • Mental Illness information classes
  • Medication information classes
  • Recreational fishing
  • Yoga & Fitness classes
  • Computer programs
  • Cooking classes
  • Board games
  • External outings
  • Workshops
  • Gardening and Lawn Care Program
    & much more.

Please contact your nearest D2DL Centre site (listed below) for more information on the current program of activities and groups on offer.
