The Game of Tennis began in the 11th century and was invented by French Monks. Over the last 900 hundred years, the game has become a highly skilful game requiring some dexterity and fitness to excel in the sport.
Tennis is played by two to four players using a racquet and balls—Players hit the ball over the net until one player makes a mistake or hits a great shot and one or the other scores. It is one game which allows both men and women to compete equally both socially and in competition. Australia has a rich history in the game, producing some of the best players ever to grace a Tennis court.
